I also have to mention that back in S1 and S2 the amount of champs was lower (40-85) and the amount of viable champs even less than that. So in the best case he gets 10 total splits of being meta but still only 5 consecutive and you have to consider how much of a meta champ he was (15-45% while reaching 52% just once Thresh was at 20-70% with being above 50% all the time except for that 20% S6). Only in S2 and also only in the first half he reached an overall ~20% P/B with that falling to ~10% in the second half. Exactly like Elise he reaches 5 consecutive splits and 9 splits total, but he was mostly slightly behind her.Įdit: Gragas was already there in S1 and S2, but he was not even a minor pick in S1 except for the WCS (25% P/B). Overall he was meta when Elise was most of the time but a bit behind her in P/B rate most of the time. Especially in the S5 spring split he had a drop down to ~16% P/B. He was picked in S3 and S4 but not as often as Elise. Gragas is also high and likely makes 3rd place. She reaches 5 consecutive splits and 9 splits total. That makes 7 consecutive (7.5?) and 9 total split.Įlise probably second. Except for these 2 patches around the WCS he always seemed to be viable and his meta phases were really long from S3-S6 spring and S7. Even when he was considered bad in the Zyra/Malz meta earlier in the 2017 spring split, Thresh had a 20+% P/B rate still. Using substitute AD carry Frost, they lost to Cloud9 Tempest and then to Magnetic, missing out on the NACS summer season.Thresh was a S3-5 pick but had a drop in S6 summer and even when played on nearly every patch, he was not seen around the WCS (6.16/6.18). However, after defeating Maelstrom, Stixxay was banned for two weeks (weeks 2 and 3 of the split) because of toxicity. CLG Black retained their summer season qualifier seed from having participated in the spring season, receiving a first-round bye. However, in the spring season they placed sixth and last, after playing the last day with their manager samy substituting as support and losing a tiebreaker to TSM Darkness.
